Неправительственная организация Transparency International представила Индекс восприятия коррупции за 2018 год. Турция оказалась в категории «стран без демократических традиций».
Турция набрала 41 балл, что на одну единицу больше, чем в прошлом году, и заняла 78-е место из 180, поднявшись на три ступеньки. Однако, согласно данным Transparency International, с 2012 года до сегодняшнего времени Турция находится в пятерке стран, которые постоянно теряют баллы в рейтинге восприятия коррупции.
За последние пять лет наихудшие показатели отмечены у Сент-Люсии (-16), Бахрейна (-15), Сирии (-13), Венгрии (-9) и Турции (-8).
Индекс восприятия коррупции (Corruption Perception Index, CPI) представляет собой составной показатель, иллюстрирующий уровень коррупции в государственном секторе различных стран. Начиная с 1995 года, каждый год он составляется на основе опросов экспертов и предпринимателей, проведенных независимыми организациями в разных частях мира. Все государства получают определенное количество баллов по шкале от 0 до 100, где ноль обозначает самый высокий уровень восприятия коррупции, а сто — самый низкий.
